And among that first wave of games, fans can probably expect the pace to be matched, if not exceeded. It remains to be seen how long this holds true, but with two games already confirmed for March, it stands to reason fans will learn more about the Xbox Game Pass games for March 2023 relatively soon. The good news is that, generally speaking, Xbox Game Pass additions outpace removals. With this, there will be no Final Fantasy games available on Xbox Game Pass. Lightning Returns is the last Final Fantasy game on the service, following the original's departure on September 15th and Final Fantasy 13-2's on November 30. Xbox Game Pass and Square Enix once made a huge, public display about Final Fantasy games coming to the service, but since then, these games have left one after another. While there are several major games leaving this month, it seems that Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns is the most storied. Xbox Game Pass Leaving February 2023 List Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to purchase the game at a discount ahead of its departure date, should they wish to keep any of them. With the exception of Madden NFL 21 just leaving the console version of the service, each title is leaving console and PC Game Pass. The seven games leaving Xbox Game Pass on February 28 are Alien: Isolation, Crown Trick, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Far: Changing Tides, Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns, Madden NFL 21, and Octopath Traveler. RELATED: Xbox Game Pass Adds New Day One Game Today Meanwhile, it has been a relatively busy week for Xbox Game Pass as it has added a new trial for Wild Hearts, as well as full releases of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord and Cities: Skylines Remastered. This means this should be taken with a minor grain of salt until Microsoft confirms one way or another, as something could change last minute or more could be added to the list. However, instead of being accompanied by a new wave reveal for Xbox Game Pass, these titles have been updated on the Xbox App. Although the Xbox Game Pass addition reveals have been slightly more erratic than usual since the calendar turned over, the games it loses every month have stuck to their usual cadence, and now fans know of seven titles leaving the service on February 28.
